Chrysós “a work in process” premiered at Ten Tiny Dances 2018 for the countercurrent festival.

This is a dedication piece to my baby cousin Serena who died of cancer in 2018. Chrysos meaning Gold is used to describe the sac during the stages of Chrysalis which is the transformation from egg to caterpillar on the way to becoming a butterfly. Serena was referred to as a butterfly who has finally transitioned to receive her wings and fly off into freedom. I wanted to embody the process of crystallization and transforming into my freest Golden self.
